It is important to elect a Probate Judge who is an advocate for individual rights and believes in the power of family. As Judge, Kimberly Sullivan has brought to her Court, leadership, commitment and experience. For someone who truly cares about you and your situation, look no further.
Judge Sullivan was first elected Probate Judge in November 2010.
Prior to her election she was the Probate Court Guardianship Investigator, served as an assistant District Attorney, and finally practiced law specializing in Estate & Guardianship law. Since that first election she has never had an opponent and looks forward to serving the citizens of Galveston County for another term.
Although judges are rarely involved in writing legislation, Judge Sullivan saw a need and reacted. Now first responders, including peace officers, firefighters, and others putting their lives on the line, will have certain filing fees waived when injured on the job.
Judge Kim Sullivan has been part of this community for many years. A member of Dickinson First United Methodist Church, she plays in the church bell choir, and volunteers as a greeter with her husband, Jim. As an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), she presents the Constitutional Minute at each meeting. Judge Sullivan is also a member of the Kiwanis Club of Galveston, having served as President, Secretary, and now the acting Treasurer. As a member of the Dickinson Pilot Club, she has served as President. Judge Sullivan understands the importance of giving back to her community and works tirelessly to make it a better place.
